Menzis offers live chat to the deaf and hearing-impaired

Source: Adforesult
Deaf and hearing-impaired people, who have their health insurance from Menzis, can now request the services of an interpreter via a LiveCom chat application. Previously, they had to use a text phone.

For Menzis, this is a logical step in improving their services, Ria Stegehuis explains, general manager of Care Management at Menzis, Arnhem. 'Previously, 29 different branch offices were responsible for the execution of the interpreter arrangement for social situations. When in 2007 the execution was put in the hands of one office, we resolved to properly accomplish this task. That's why we're always looking for ways to ease the communication.'

According to Stegehuis, the chat application will fully replace the text phone in the future.
