Privacy

Livecom is often asked if this form of making contact isn't perceived as an infringement of anonymity on the Internet. It is obviously very important that visitors do not experience the chat as obtrusive or invading their privacy. Therefore, Livecom recommends the use of a general chat invitation instead of a chat screen where the visitor is immediately addressed personally. The visitor remains anonymous and can simply click and remove the chat screen if he is uninterested or pressed for time. To illustrate: the visitor gets a dialogue box, for example, in the form of a banner on his screen with the text: 'click here to chat with one of our representatives'.
